ECCE conference is for to all who work in children´s ministry and/or coordinate this work in schools or in the Church. It takes place every three years, each time in a different country, and the most recent Conference was held at Lake Balaton, Hungary in May 2023. The next face-to-face conference will be held in Geneva, Switzerland in May 2026. Meanwhile there will be two online conferences in the intervening years.
The main language of the ECCE is English. The lectures are usually given in English and the notes are provided in German and French as well.
There are a variety of workshops to choose from at the Conference and these are also delivered in English. Any delegate can volunteer to lead a workshop if they have something they can offer.
The ECCE Steering Group makes the final decision on the workshops included in the conference programme.
The programme includes worship led by each of the five regions, lectures, an excursion, creative/interactive Bible studies, discussion of current work and a “market-place” to showcase some of the work being done in each country/denomination represented. There is also usually opportunity to experience something of the culture of the host country.
